Whats your secret sauce for staying positive in these trying times? What’s the most surprisingly positive thing that’s happened to you?

The collective exhaustion of a world that’s been running on empty.

After years of global pandemic and crushing austerity in the UK’s public sector, we’re like a car that’s run out of fuel but keeps sputtering along. We’re in Limp Home Mode.

But this August, something shifted. Suddenly, some of us finally took a break, embracing the future with a well-deserved rest, while others kept pushing through with innovation and grit.

The cybernetic concept ‘the relaxation time principle’ warns us about systems’ ability to respond to shocks. If we can’t get back to a steady state before the next shock, we’re in trouble. Are we nearing our limit?

But here’s the twist: We’re not done yet. We’re resilient, creative, and capable of more than we know. So let’s support each other, find joy in the chaos, and keep pushing forward with Creativity and humour.

I’ve taken a bit of a real holiday, and planned more. FeelsGoodMan
